Lyme Regis House

As Saunders had already designed and procured student accommodation for the University, we were a natural choice for this large-scale development within the Lansdowne Campus for Bournemouth University. The scheme was sponsored by Signpost Homes part of Western Challenge Housing.

The 10-storey building comprises a single block of 400 student units being a mix of 5- and 6-flat clusters with common rooms, studio units with integrated cooking facilities, and wheelchair accessible studios. Common facilities include student reception and lounge areas and laundry, on-site parking for operational use and covered secure cycle parking.

A large part of the ground floor area is dedicated to retail use with its own street frontage and servicing for letting to the open market.

The fast track steel framed construction included a fire-resistant cladding make-up and pre-fabricated en-suite bathroom pods.
