The Practice

The firm of Saunders Architects was established in 1922, in Southampton, and since 1952 also has an office in Coventry. The management structure comprises six partners and four associates with total permanent technical personnel of more than twenty in number. The partners and staff all act as a team. Resources are allocated and augmented appropriate to each stage of the programme of work to ensure that the Client's objectives and timetable are achieved. The level of resources available within the practice means that it is possible to ensure that the staff chosen for any particular project are those with expertise and experience gained from designing similar projects completed by the practice. Our record of reselection by a number of established Clients illustrates how our commitment and professionalism is translated into performance in assisting our Clients achieve their design aspirations as well as their programme and budget requirements. We have a proven track record of successfully negotiating with local authority planning and building control departments as well as many other statutory bodies. We have extensive experience of a wide variety of procurement methods for project delivery. By the production of rigorous design information and establishing strict contract administration procedures we clearly set out the expected standards for work on site from the outset. We believe our systematic, meticulous style of management makes a significant contribution to the successful completion of the projects we undertake. Our offices are fully equipped with the latest technology including Computer Aided Design software.
